Happy Jordan Hulls Day!

It happened back in 2009 but we still celebrate!

WHEREAS, during the 2008-2009 basketball season, Jordan Hulls averaged 15.9 points, 5.3 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game while leading the Bloomington High School South Boys Basketball Team to a perfect 26-0 record and its first-ever Indiana High School Athletics Association State Championship; and

WHEREAS, Jordan was named 2009 Gatorade Indiana Boys Basketball Player of the Year; and

WHEREAS, he also was named 2009 "Mr. Basketball" for the state of Indiana by the Indianapolis Star; and

WHEREAS, his achievements on the court and in the classroom made Jordan a nominee for National Player of the Year; and

WHEREAS, Jordan has been a model student-athlete, currently holding a 3.95 grade point average.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mark Kruzan, Mayor of the City of Bloomington, do hereby proclaim Wednesday, May 6, 2009 as

Jordan Hulls Day

in Bloomington, Indiana, and congratulate Jordan on his exemplary achievements, both in the classroom and on the basketball court.

Boy, we need some more homegrown Hoosiers on our squad in the next few years.  Hulls was a class act athlete and represented the school, state, and basketball so well.
