Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Corners the size of Talib and Sherman (Seattle's entire secondary for that matter) are nice to have, but hard to find. Revis is one of the top corners in the game and he's not even 6'. Vontae Davis is less than 6'. Grimes and Butler are both 5'10 as is Alfonzo Dennard. That's the NFL level where players are bigger, I wouldn't consider 5'9 that unusual for a college corner and if he's got enough athleticism he could mitigate the height difference to an extent. EDIT: Our own Tim Bennett is only 5'9. Michigan, MSU, Ohio State and Alabama all have a corner or DB on their roster listed at 5'9. Michigan has 3 or so. Quote

Dalton26 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 Nothing I said isn't true. He is in fact tiny and NFL teams are shying away from short corners more and more. I didn't say he couldn't play or wasn't a good corner. Guys like Jennings are like you said freak athletes. If you're good then the height issue isn't really an issue. It wasn't me saying he wasn't good. On a completely different level for comparison I think 6'0 is short. To most people that's average. I'm not talking football wise I'm talking in general. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I thought 6'0 was around average statistically speaking, but everything I'm finding right now says average height for an American male is around 5'9. http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/bodymeas.htm Side note, while it shows 5'9 is average for an American male we're on average shorter than a few countries. Germans, Italians, Dutch, etc on average are an inch or more taller. We're also fatter on average. Back on point though, yes many NFL teams would shy away from a 5'9 corner but then in the NFL players tend to be bigger than college players. In college 5'9 isn't too unusual for corner, it's probably on the low end even for college but not that unusual. Quote
Dalton26 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 That means absolutely nothing to me. Lol. Like I said I personally think 6'0 is short so what statistics show doesn't matter to me. I'm 6'7 what's short to me won't be short to everyone else. I agree it's not too bad for college which is why I mentioned pros. He'll get knocked for his size(if he even goes pro) but if he can play he'll find a home regardless. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
