Hoosier Players Past & Present Nicknames???

All of my funny ones are for our current coach which I don't want to derail this thread and get a lot of us upset on a Friday morning.

Splendid Splinter...Jimmy Rayl. I never got to see him play but he was 20+ career scorer and 56 point single game record done twice.

Big Mac...George McGinnes. The first "one and done" although he was at IU two years. Freshmen didn't have eligibility then and he took a hardship after his soph year. I can't remember seeing him in high school or college but what he did to Kentucky allstars will never be repeated. Something like 50 points 30 rebounds.

Rayl scored 56 points long before the 3 point line.  That's impressive.

Not sure it'd quality as a nickname, but I found myself saying "DON'T SHOOT THAT!" a lot when Verdell Jones was playing.

lol i screamed "why is he on the court" and "why does he have the ball", he was awful, and i know everyone clowns me but i couldnt stand tom pritchard
