What is your favorite thing about IU?

Teter sucks. I unfortunately got stuck there. Northwest is by far the best place to live and its not even close.

Why does Teter suck? I know party wise Northwest is the place to be but otherwise whats lacking at Teter?

I was in Forest my freshman year. Compared to that, Teter was a damn blessing.

Teter is definitely not as good as Northwest, but you're also close to Wright food court and Forrest which has an amazing cafeteria. Literally, restaurant quality food. Either way, a dorms a dorm and they all suck compared to living off campus lol. Just enjoy it. You shouldn't be in your room much anyway.

Thanks for the info

I lived in McNutt DeJoya Fall 2009-2010. I loved it there and met a lot of friends. I remember coming home late one night and walking on the ground floor and ran into CWAT and Bobby Capo playing N64 with two bombshells babes and I stuck my head in and chatted with them for a bit.

I also went to Teeter a lot because the Wright food court was pretty sweet (those chicken wraps were amazing). Also, a buddy of mine and I made friends with a bunch of girls on Teeter Wissler Five. Nothing gets you into a party faster than three guys with about nine good looking girls with them. My current GF of a few years came from that floor.

A really cool thing I did at IU occurred the fall of my Senior year. I had a class at Woodburn that went until 11:15 every tuesday and thursday. My good buddy (the same as the one above) also had it with me.  On Thursdays we had the lecture and then the discussion for the class a couple hours later. Every Thursday for 16 weeks we went to KOK for lunch and a Bloody Mary in between these classes. We were so frequent that about a month in the server would have our table ready with a Bloody Mary and wouldn't ask us for our I.D.'s. My friend and I still tell that story to people (I got an A and he got an A-).

Also people are talking about Mother Bears, a good cheap pizza place that is a bit of a hole in the wall is Swing-Ins Pizza. 812 330-0000. Do yourself a favor and try that out. Their Stroms are amazing.

I'm doing IFS, not sure if anyone is familiar with the program, but its basically a two week three credit course that lets you move in early. 30 days before I am in Bloomington, 32 before I move into Foster for two weeks. Welcome week in 50 days. Too excited

I hate to sound like a total freshman, but are the Villas a good place for parties? I'd like to keep police contact to a minimum haha

The cops are usually looking for people tripping and falling or doing blatantly stupid things. Just be smart and you can avoid them. Also, don't ever be holding alcohol at tailgates if you're underage. They've cracked down so much these last two years.

Villas are trashy. But most freshman go there because there are always parties and most freshman don't know where else to go.

You're going to see cops all over the place but they really don't care whats going on unless you do something stupid. Just don't walk around the streets with beer and you're fine. .

Thanks!

I'm doing the IFS program, meaning I move in tomorrow. For two weeks I'll be in Foster, after it concludes, which is before the semester begins, I'll move into my regular fall housing in Teter. IFS stands for Intensive Freshman Seminar. I will be taking one class for 3 credits.

Ready to officially be a Hoosier!

I organized classroom raves during Little 5 week, ran around campus in a banana custom while my friend chased me dressed as a gorilla, stormed the court against UK, and countless other ridiculous things. In college, FOMO is the best thing you can have. Work hard so you don't miss any of the fun stuff. Good luck to you. Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.
