I think I said this about Zeller all year last year, though insert a number of guys in there. Seemed to get stuffed by guys considerably smaller than him way too much

Zeller always played smaller than he actually was. So frustrating.

There is always some hope. But..........you knew there was going to be a "but," didn't you?

 

Lee just announced that he is transferring. He hasn't agreed to come to IU. We don't even know if he is interested in us. If he's as good as what we want, then he's likely to generate a lot of interest from other teams. There aren't many that couldn't use another big.

 

Hopefully, we can get him signed or if not him, then a different big. We just need to be patient and see what happens before declaring the end of the world or declaring that everything is rainbows and unicorns.

It'd be nice if we could let Crean know about this guy. I mean, I know he said he doesn't read replies from fans and he's probably got about a dozen forwards to go watch in the next week, but I wish somebody could at least bring it to his attention.

I'm sure the whole staff already knows about it. They will be watching to see who transfers as they are trying to find someone to fill Noah's spot. They know.

As long as its Crean and Buckley doing the recruiting of midwest ball players, I have no issues. McClain hasn't produced one viable big man and I have no faith in Johnson's ability to recruit outside the east coast aau circuit.

When he tweeted see ya next season hope he didn't go to the beach and plan on waiting till October to worry about the team lol

According to another site, he said that Midwest schools are a plus for family reasons in an interview with Temple's student radio station. The only school mentioned was Iowa where he apparently has some connections.

Iowa has Woodbury, Olasheni, Uthoff coming back. I think Basabe might be done.

 

Seems like we'd have a LOT more PT to dole out.

Yeah, hopefully. You never know with big men. Kansas took a 5th year guy this season. They don't ever seem to need another big man, but not many coaches would turn one down who can play. It doesn't seem like Iowa would have as much PT for him as us. I hope that is a big factor for him.

I'd prefer this guy to some of the 4 year projects we've looked at, and a graduate transfer would help balance classes.
