We've Got Really Good Mods

I still regularly read other IU message boards. Each of them have regular internal discussions about whether they perceive their board to be troll-infested, overly pessimistic, or unrealistically optimistic.

 

Not here. After enough months on this board to draw an accurate conclusion, I am happy to report that we have a troll-free, well written, multiple view-point environment. 

 

Though I guess it's possible that we don't ever attract jackasses on this board, it is far more likely that this environment has been created by some truly fine work by our moderators.

ps, it was an accident. looks like I did it again last night. I can be kind of careless with the mouse sometimes. This has gotten me into a few messes over the years. I'm not even sure how I manage to do it.

I am a refugee from one of those other boards. Like it here way more and a lot of it is the mods having standards and upholding them.

The mods are one of the big reason I ended up here. Jayboob, MDN, CCGeneral, and NaturalHoosier all had some time, at the very least a little amount of time, on the old HSN moderating. So I knew what to expect and liked that they were open to the debating on the site, so long as it wouldn't get into personal territory. And HoosierReb was over on the old HSN, and was always one of the more enjoyable posters to converse with over there, so had an idea of what to expect with him.
