Tonight's game against Northwestern

Ok.... Tonight our Hoosiers travel to Northwestern. We are on a 3 game losing streak and just got killed by Purdue. Times are rough! If IU loses tonight we could easily end up losing out. If that happens will Coach Crean be back next year? What do you say Hoosiers?

Sorry, I'm new to the forum. I like Crean, I just wonder what would happen if we end the season 14-17 and on a 9 game losing streak. I'm not saying that will happen but it is a strong possibility! We all made fun of UK for losing to Robert Morris last year and we may not even make the NIT!

Hey not a problem welcome to the land of greatness. You bring up some interesting points for discussion and that would be a horrible way to finish the year. Hopefully we can get our heads out if our butts and reel off a few wins in a row. Gotta come out ready to fight today.

It would be nice if some people had some optimism about our Hoosiers. There's a good chance we win 4 of the next 5 and that would put us back in a very good spot even for this year

Welcome to the board, hope you enjoy posting here! Yeah, this topic has been beaten to death, but you are new and its perfectly fine. He still has two years left of underachieving after this year before we may get a new coach. Even then, I doubt he is gone.

I've been very upset with coach the past two years (not so much win totals, but his offense is bad). I was hoping to see a lot of improvement in scheme, but it hasn't happened. Just hope that next year's team will match what Crean wants to do on offense. This year's team is completely wrong for this style.

I get that the pessimism gets to be a bit much sometimes. But, given how we have played recently, I don't see how we could win 4 of the next 5. Turnovers keep popping up or being worse every week. The defense which for a bit looked like one of the better ones out there hasn't been as good recently. I always hope they prove me wrong. With the hardest stretch being 3 games @Wisconsin, home to Iowa, and home to Ohio State over a 5 day time span, to expect them to win 2 of those is a big leap to take right now

I'm not saying it's gonna happen but it's definitely not something to rule out. We have 6 regular season games and the B1G tourney left, how about people discuss the possibilities of winning some of those games and not losing out.

I love the Hoosiers and I love the forum! I'm usually not a pessimist but this season has really disappointed me. Getting routed at Purdue was the icing on the cake. I hope the Hoosiers prove me wrong but no way this team wins 4 out of the next 5.

I think anyone who says we could win 4 of the next 5 or lose the next 5 could both be correct.  We are inconsistent with a capital I baby.  Just wanted to be a dick for a day.

He'll be back.  I can see us winning 1 more game, but that's about it.  Although considering there's only been one year where the team was playing it's best at the end of the year, I could also see us completely flat lining and losing out.
