If I was still a student at IU, I would blow off my afternoon classes and get started early. Then by halftime you neither care nor are even remotely interested. I don't feel good about this one as the teams are headed in different directions. Iowa seems to be peaking and IU is doing what we normally do this time of year under Crean. If you think Purdue was bad, this one will be worse.

I am hoping for a more balanced attack.  We need more passing, much less dribbling and better movement.  A few picks each time down the court would be great too.  Kind of what Dakich was talking about for half the game on Saturday.

Well I really dont know what to expect this game, but i know what most of you are thinking. I think we can win this game, but i find it highly unlikely. If they do win, tourney talk will come back into play, and i will just shake my head lol, if we win coach crean is a great coach. If we lose, everyone hates coach and he should be fired. Either way im staying away from all Hoosier basketball sites lol!!! Go Hoosiers!

On paper this one looks like a near impossible match-up. If we are going to win, these are the three most important things that I think we need:

1. Offensive fire power. Both teams are amongst the best defensive teams in Division 1. The Hoosiers are slightly better. The big difference is on the other end. Iowa has one of the most efficient offenses in the country. There isn't anything that they don't do well. We, on the other hand, are below average. Limiting turnovers is important of course, if that's even possible for this team. Our best chance might just be to have Yogi go off like he did against Michigan.

2. Rebounding. These are two of the best rebounding teams in the country. Both teams rebound well on offense and defense. If we box out and manage to limit Iowa's offensive rebounds we have a chance.

3. No zone. Because of the rebounding situation, we cannot afford to play zone to protect Noah. If Noah can play man-to-man without fouling, we shouldn't embarrass ourselves. But, if we have to go zone or if Crean decides to just play zone because that's what he does, it could get ugly.

After Saturday's loss (which I turned off with 11:00 to go in the second half...I have never done that, even in Crean's first couple of years) and feeling that the season was lost, I am pumped and ready for IU to put a beat down on the Hawkeyes.

I pledge to say everything in a positive manner this evening. Who is with me?

"Wow, I can't believe how generous we are tonight... Iowa probably should give us a few gifts in return."

100% positive :)

"Hey, we're only down 15 with only 17 turnovers.  Progress".

This team consistently does the unexpected. Therefore we'll probably win. Unless they know that we are expecting them to lose which means they'll win which means we are actually expecting this to hold true and they'll win so then they will lose.

:)
