IU knocking on the door

Recommended Posts

I love those having faith in Hollowell...its laughable at this point...What has he shown to think he will all of the sudden have an epiphany and become the player we thought we were going to get when recruiting him??? I dont get the love fest for Hollowell at all...

Sorry that my opinions are laughable. I thought this was a place to give opinions and have good discussion. My bad!

His picture is Jason Statham. Choose your words wisely.

In my own opinion like it or not noone on here has the right to bash the program unless you are on the team or are absolutely positive you know what you are talking about just enjoy being a hoosier fan, alumni, or ex player and praise the kids on the court for their hard work or have some words of encouragement. Remember these kids have it hard enough keeping there academics up, which is a big part of what hoosier athletics is about. Remember IU is in the B1G for a reason

Sent from my SCH-I535 using BtownBanners mobile app
Yay go guys you are not last. If it were a two team conference, us vs Illinois, we would win the BT outright.

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

You have a point, i guess. We have been in nearly every game this season. We're not too bad of a team, with some really nice players! We are just VERY limited offensively with 1 perimeter shooter and a guy that's trying to play with his back to the basket but he's a face up type player. and a coach that's also VERY limited with x's and o's

Your comment about Noah is spot on. Everyone thinks he should be this dominating, "back down and put up a hook shot" center, but he's played the 3/Swing position his entire life. He isn't used to living in the post. Him knocking down 3's isn't a fluke. Same with going coast to coast (a couple times).

Don't try to blame acedemics here. 4 of the 6 Freshmen are majoring in Recreational Sports Management. I don't think that requires a heavy class load. Don't underestimate the power of negative thinking!

So which is bigger? Winning the Big Ten outright last year for the first time in what 20 years? Or coming in last in the BT (other than when we played baseball players a few years back) for the first time in an even longer period of time. Yeah we are not last right now so this is hypothetical. I would argue that as good as last year was, if we were to come in last that would be a far bigger issue.

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Come this time next year, IMHO I believe IU will be in the top of the pack in the B1G(with our without Vonleh, hopefully with).

how can you possibly see this team being near the top of the league without Noah next year?

Indiana has been notorious at developing players. Strength and conditioning is something we are good at. That being said, if Noah leaves, I believe we will either 1) Get a polished JuCo center to back up HMP or run a SMALL lineup since all of these guards will make up the best back court in the B1G. Things will be fine, yogi hates to lose, it will fuel him, looking for him to win the Coursey away or whatever it's called (best PG in the nation) next year.

Don't get me wrong, we will have a DECENT center, at best. But, will not always have a 6'10+ guy out there if he doesn't stay. Save a reminder in your phone or on your computer and this time next year come talk to me.

I beileve you are referring to the Cousy Award, named after Bob Cousy, one of the best basketball players of all time.

Wasn't trying to come off as mean, just giving credit where it's due to a guy that averaged 18 PPG in the 50's, which equals around 36 PPG now...with no 3-point shot.

Yeah I know. I'm saying I couldn't come up with a way to put it nicely haha.

I run into that situation myself from time to time. Over the years I've found it best to just let someone else have a go at it. Now if I'd only always follow my own advice. ;)

I will continue to support Jeremy. Obviously he hasn't played well, but outside of Yogi and Noah nobody has. I like his size, length, and versatility. I think he was lacking confidence, and loosing his starting spot exasperated that. I would still start him over Troy or Stan. I hope he can pull his game together because he can be a real asset. I always root just a little harder for the #indianakids
