Scouting a potential Crean replacement

Stevens is clearly the #1 candidate but that isnt in the cards unless something unforeseeable takes place.

 

Gregg Marshall out of Wichita or Josh Pastner from Memphis would be two that immediately spring to mind.

 

Curious what everyone else thinks, cause it will come to this.

Why exactly would Stevens leave Boston to come coach here? He is doing a fine job with a pretty horrendous roster, a team that doesn't have a lot of cap space tied up long term, and plenty of draft picks these next couple of years. 

 

Edit: Not specifically this post. But I see a lot of IU fans who seem convinced he'd leave Boston in a heart beat to come coach us. Just don't get where it comes from

A time ago Stevens said his dream job was IU. I don't see him leaving either.

I'll be honest. My first thought when I saw this was "really? Come on man...", then my mind started racing. Could we woo Shaka? I've heard Pastner is a good recruiter, maybe he could own Indiana. Greg Marshall has Wichita doing big things. Greg Lansing is also a pretty good recruiter (but is a piece...nevermind). You got me thinking. Well played.

Yes it is he may want a job like maybe Duke or UNC. Painter last year was going to get tapped by Missouri for the head coaching job but turned it down.
