Indiana vs Minnesota Post Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Another game where we choke one away. Minnesota is a solid team, but IU went completely away from what worked in the 2nd half. First time I've ever said this, but I'm really losing faith in Coach. Yes, there were a bunch of unforced errors, but the 2nd half had no offense at all. 1st half we attacked and went hard at the glass. Where was that in the 2nd? Second time we've done this on the road.

I'm pretty ticked because this is two games we should of won, but the 2nd half killed us because we went away with what worked. I just don't get how the team can play so good, and then we go away with what works.

Oh well, I will never stop supporting our Hoosiers! Nice effort tonight guys, you fought hard.

Yeah, I'm pretty irked about the 2nd half, but I feel I definitely need to give a shout out to Jeremy. He had a rough first few possessions, but he really stepped it up tonight and played inspired basketball. Keep it up Jeremy, I've been backing you all season! Bring the same intensity, and you will make this team a lot better!

Final Possession, you need your best defenders...

-Yogi

-Stan

-Sheehey

-Vonleh

___________

Who would you put in?  I definitely would have had Troy in there instead of Gordon.  Needed the speed.

Troy or JH.

Troy for sure. I would actually have him in there all the time. This kid has skills, reminds me of a young Cal Cheaney!

Hope to see him get more playing time, would hate to see him leave after this season!

This was the final aggravation for me.  I didn't agree with the choice to not foul when they were struggling from the line, but I could understand.  I could name at least 6 guys who should have been on the ball before Evan today.  He was slow all night.  He had no confidence.  He just never was in the game.  Then he gets put on the ball?  Frustrating loss.

Eh, before tonight Troy hadn't exactly been playing all that well recently. He has had little stretches here and there, but also just disappears on the court just as easily, and makes a number of bad mistakes.
Yep, another choke on the road. Young team, lots of unforced errors, especially in the second half. Should have gone into halftime with a 10 pt lead.

This is the season of "should haves" so far. Lots of squandered opportunities.
Thank you for saying that this is a young team. Because that's exactly what they are. I'm so tired of people saying they're tired of hearing about how young this team is. This isn't magic. Teams need time. They've played, what, 13ish meaningful games together? With 3 freshman getting big minutes. Mostly sophomores getting the rest. Yep, I'd call that a young team. Sorry for ranting on your post, I'm just glad you said it lol.

I like him alot better than Robinson, did ya see him dribble the ball off his own foot?

Really? Robinson has completely outplayed Troy so far this year, other than tonight Stan has been one of our three best players the last 2-3 weeks, could argue 4 weeks. Troy again shown some flashes here and there, but has been far from consistent.

I went out to a sports bar and grill and I was pissed because they didn't have the B1G network. So I followed the game on my phone but I can't really determine how we played from a phone. I'm just disappointed in the loss.

Hah! Personally wouldn't have a problem going back to freshmen ineligibility. That would be a way the NCAA could do away with the one and done.

Seems like it was Knight, saw some interview waaaaaaay back then, the coach said it would be the ruin of college basketball. It might have been a few years after they allowed it in football and basketball ('72-'73 I think) Can't say I disagree on that.
