The Nintendo Entertainment System

Recommended Posts

Admit it, you or at least one other person you knew had one growing up. Or, if you're like my dad's friends, they had them and they were in their 30s and 40s!

I collect old NES stuff from the 1980's and early 90's. It's a bit of an addiction, really. I don't play any modern video games, I just love the simple 8-bit graphics and sounds...it brings back good memories of my childhood.

Anyone else here play some old school Nintendo? Do you still have one with games in your attic that you'd be willing to sell to a good home?

I grew up on Super Nintendo... Would hate to know now many hours I played on that thing haha. We have ours up at our family lake house for entertainment after hours )and quite a few beverages) and it's a dreaming BLAST.

Now the system I wish I did t get rid of was the Nintendo 64. I'm assuming I sold it at some point but don't remember selling it. Miss that thing!

Favorite Games:

Super Bases Loaded
NBA Jam
Tecmo Super Bowl
Super Mario

I'm sure I'm missing a classic, but that's all that I can think of right now!

My cousin had the NES so we got the Sega master System. Countless hours, late nights, cans/2-liters of Mountain Dew and Jolt, and bags of Doritos were spent playing those games. Reggie Jackson Baseball, Final Fantasy, Shinobi, Space Harrier, Astro Warrior, Hang-On, and Choplifter were some of the faves.

The Master System is one I'm not too familiar with, I knew someone who had one and I remember playing the game based on the "Rocky" movies...I also remember they had cards you played on.

Anyone remember this one for the Sega Genesis (it was the system I had after the NES)?

I remember the Genesis well, I used to have one (might still have it?).  Played a lot of heavyweight boxing on it, also a game about Taz being on Mars.

If you think you have any games lying around, I will take them off your hands!

Also I think you're referring to "Taz In Escape From Mars."

Tecmo Super Bowl.  Black Bass.  Mike Tyson's Punchout.  The original Super Mario Brothers.  Its funny, because I went from The End of Us to play a game of Black Bass and wondered how in the hell I spent hours looking at that crap lol.
