(2014) SF Josh Cunningham to Bradley

Recommended Posts

We can argue back and forth, we obviously aren't going to change one anothers mind. And thats fine!

I want to thank you for the debate, its fun thinking deeply into this type of thing. Please don't misconstrue this as me trying to fight with you, I just enjoyed the debate.

Go Hoosiers!

When you go around misstating what someone has or hasn't posted and accuse them of having a feud with multiple posters that's trying to start a fight. Arguing a point is a debate. This is a distinction you'd be well off to discern in any future conversations with me since this post was an obvious indirect comment to me.  You engaged heavily in the former with me.

Haha not everything is about you mister. Believe it or not I didn't have you in mind during a conversation with a totally different poster.

Our recruiting has been top notch since Crean got here. He has a unique eye for players with potential beyond their rankings. Recruiting is the least of my worries. The development of the big men we have and continued growth in our guard play is where our main concerns should lie IMO.

I suppose this means I'm not the only one you pull this stuff on.

Dude chill. He was talking to someone else and had a good back and forth that ended quickly and amicably. What we should all aspire towards and maybe he learned from his discussion with you. Nonetheless his post does not seem malicious or have any jab at you.
The question is, what are you talking about? No need to sugarcoat it.. Crean won major recruiting battles for RJ and Blackmon. And he hasn't even committed yet.

Say IU doesn't land this 3 star 100+ recruit, does that mean the sky is falling? Come on man... Step off the ledge.

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
in what world am I on the ledge? It's common sense to see creans had a rough year in recruiting this year, goodluck, pinson, lyles, etc ..there's obviously playing time here that cunningham can see.. So to make a visit to South Carolina when he could play at iu is funny to me.. But keep spinning it your way

It's funny that a recruit is making visits? Huh? How is it common sense? Pinson was never coming to IU, Lyles chose the team that continuously makes Championship and Final Four appearances, and Goodluck was a battle that we lost. There is no spin.

Crean has probably the 2nd best recruiting class in the Big Ten coming in. Did he get everyone on the radar? No. But no team usually does.

Wait, wasn't Pinson always a strong IU lean until UNC offered very late in the process? Why was he never coming?

From everything I was reading on the premium 247 boards IU was in the mix but Pinson always wanted to be a Tar Heel.

If we lose Cunningham to South Carolina, I'm officially done with Crean

I hope that's hyperbole, because I very much doubt it's true. Kinda sounds like the UK board when they lost something like their 6th SEC game this year..."If we lose to South Carolina, I'm officially done with Cal and the OADs".

As long as he wins, gets quality kids, and gets rid of the kids that are not high-quality (ahem, that just happened), we should be ok.

If he doesn't win consistently (absent the occasional bad year), you won't have to worry about being done with CTC. CTC will already be done. I'm not worried about that, and I'm not planning on that happening.

Where was this program when Crean stepped in?

He's already landed 2 top 50 recruits, one being a McDonalds All-American for 2014 in case you haven't been following.

Why on Earth would Crean landing or not landing a guy who may or may not amount to anything on the college level have anything to do with you backing him or not? Remember Perrea? Ranked in the top 25 in many publications?? Gimmie a break.

Where the program was when he took over can't be used as an excuse anymore. We are years removed from that, the sanctions are over and he has his own players and systems installed.

We shouldn't be needing to fight for a kid like this. We shouldn't have no big men and no depth. We shouldn't be getting passed over for the NIT.

Crean deserves next year, I'm not calling for his head or anything. Just a little underwhelmed with everything

I think there is depth in the backcourt.. I think the frontcourt needs work but I am excited about Devin Davis and I am interested to see if Perrea can contribute 20+ min/game.

I'm not saying this is a championship team on paper, but I think this team has the opportunity to improve on last season's for sure.. How can you not be excited to see James Blackmon in candy stripes? I think he's the type of explosive scorer that can really be a program changer. .
