Playoffs: Colts @ Patriots Game Thread

Expecting the Pats to win. But the blowout some are expecting is kind of out there. Pats are missing a lot of players, and big name players

I doubt it'll be a blowout.  That defense is held together with duct tape at this point.

Am looking forward to see what Belicheck throws at Luck. Our offense since about week 15 has been all about Luck and what he can do. Can't really blame Pep for finally changing it, given our offensive line thought the scheme for running the ball included having our running back dancing around at least one defender every other run play.

I wouldn't be shocked for this to go either way. Both defenses are pretty lackluster and both offenses have sputtered at times. If I have to pick I'm taking Indy. I wouldn't be shocked to see Talib on Fleenor (seems to be what a lot of "experts" think will happen too) and if so we need to hit Hilton early and often. The Patriots actually have a pretty solid secondary.  McCourty is good at the FS spot, Talib/Dennard has been a good 1/2 CB combo, and rookie Logan Ryan has shown some promise.  That said Talib's play has fallen off and Dennard is banged up.  I don't know who they'll put on Hilton, if it's Arrington it will be a Chernoyl-esque disaster.

Spikes being out at LB helps too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Spikes can help against the run, but he's awful in any sort of coverage.

I wasn't meaning him being out would help us out coverage wise it was just an added little tidbit instead of making two different posts.

Just saw Greg Toler was moved to the IR for us. Probably not the worst thing given having our top two corners dealing with a groin injury wasn't helping anything. Davis didn't even show up on the injury report this week, so hopefully that means they aren't concerned about it right now. Will be interesting to see how Butler does against his former team.

I hope that run game is ready to go in the rain.

No matter what happens tonight one positive that will come from the game is that we will never have to listen to Dan Dierdorf ruin an NFL game again.  Of all the awful sports announcers out there, he might just be my least favorite, and that is saying something.
