Demo Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Came across this today courtesy of busting out a random playlist. Nice job, Spotify. Wunderhorse is a British band I’d never heard of and this is from their ‘22 debut album, Cub, which I was then forced to listen to and it is flat out 1 of the catchiest records I’ve come across in a good long minute. Just no frills, first rate musicianship, great energy, very smart lyrically. There’s a track called Leader of the Pack that once you get past the blatant theft of the opening guitar riff of Sweet Home Alabama I cannot figure out why it wasn’t all over the XMU’s of the world. Ya gotta listen to this one. Stuhoo and rayl456 1 1 Quote

From what I understand, he had kidney cancer that went into his lungs which couldn't have been easy for a singer. RIP Quote

I want to say he was diagnosed last spring, less than a year ago. I had seen they had to cancel supporting on one of those rock cruises last summer and now here we are. Just awful. I wouldn’t call myself a 3DD fan, but they had some good tunes over the years and Brad always kind of popped up around the sports scene at different events and seemed like a good dude. Quote

"Here Without You" has hit #1 on the iTunes chart over the weekend when the news came out. I had their first 2 albums and they were pretty good. This hit a lot of musicians pretty hard because he was their contemporary who they went on tour with at different times over the years. There was a picture he posted of him with his wife and kid last fall, and he looked to have lost about 70 to 80 lbs. He was only 47. Hovadipo 1 Quote

Stuhoo Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Can you imagine having an antiseptic, pre-fabricated beer at Downtown Disney in Lake Buena Vista on their karaoke night, and "El Jefe" takes the mike? Of note, starting the number by pretending to look at the video lyrics monitor is pretty funny. BTW, I tried to clue you in about Bill Fay. He did a pretty transcendent, fragile version of "El Jefe's" song, that Jeff Tweedy helped to produce. Enjoy: Demo 1 Quote
