Will IU Be Raising Their Hands Friday Night?

Recommended Posts

There was tons of hype on that game. No 1 vs. No 2. This is un-ranked (AP) IU against un-ranked Washington. Yeah it's in MSG but other than that it's not really a big deal. They've had 4 games of college ball so it isn't brand new to them. Granted there will be some nerves but I don't think it will last all that long.

I hope you are right. I agree it's not the same, but it's still the first road trip as an Indiana Basketball player. I certainly hope they get over the nerves quickly. Opening with Washington will help calm those nerves I would guess.

Apparently  Washington isn't very good.  Due to that I think we'll win Thursday night, but not in dominating fashion.  That leads us to a likely Friday night matchup with UConn.  I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility we win that one, but I'm just not sure we will.  I have a feeling if that game were being played in March and not in November my opinion would be much more optimistic due to the growth trajectory we are on.

Found it interesting that they chose aaron Gordon for the 4th freshman on the freshman focus. Noah has better numbers across the board I believe. Maybe this is because he was a highly touted recruit or has been in the spotlight more but Noah will be front and center Thurs and Fri.

I bet it's because Gordon was ranked higher, and his team is top five in the nation.

Tweeted about this the other day. On sportscenter they made a big deal about Gordon's 12 and 7 against (insert bad team here) the same day Noah put up 18 and 15 (I think) on Stony Brook, a probably tourney team.
