The Official Btown Banners Beer Thread!

Had this beer tonight. Was hoping to drink more with the in-laws but they were too full from dinner by the time we got there. Had this one tonight. Wasn’t too bad, had a little bit of a lemon/grapefruit type of aftertaste, but not to prominent which is good for me.

I've been on Elysian Dank Dust for the last couple of weeks. Pretty good IPA if you like the taste of weed (seriously, I thought the guys in the kitchen of the bar I go to were blazing in the back, very aromatic). But, Permanent Funeral from 3 Floyd's is fantastic!! It's a biggun, 10.5%- has a west coast IPA taste

Dank Dust is 8.2% it's no lightweight itself. I'm scared that would get me in some trouble. But I'll give it the old college try.

Anyone had Southern Pecan beer?  My wife bought me a subscription to a beer of the month club about a year ago and it came in one of the packs.  Great beer, but sounds like it's only distributed in some southern states.  Instead of using grain, roasted pecans are used in the brewing.

Never had it but would definitely like to try it. Love trying different kinds of beer. Need to change the name of this thread to Beer/Alcohol. I’ve ventured into the liquor side more as my years have went on lol.

Is Avondale available up there? Their A-OK IPA is hands down my favorite beer, not just IPA.

I don't think so. I'm checking and don't see it anywhere close by. But dang it sounds good.

Yeah, I need some new choices for the summer. Preferably an IPA or a Hazy IPA. Maybe a lager

Won’t be able to help with the IPAs. While my pallet has changed over the years where I can drink an IPA better (used to hate the taste), just still not my thing. I prefer lager’s, pale ale, wheat, Pilsner, and stuff similar.

Mamasa, always good to see you around! Hope you have been doing well!

For me personally, I love me some Kona beer, from Big Wave, Longboard, summer stuff, etc. Their lemon grass luau is quite interesting. Easy drink, but leaves a sharp lemon after taste on the tongue, but it’s not as bad as it sounds. I’m someone who doesn’t like fruity beer, but liked this one.

Every time I see a Kona, I think of you! Longboard is definitely a good one. Hope you and the family are doing great!!

I like to take the claim I started the Kona movement in St. Louis, even though I know that’s a complete lie lol. I did get some people to like it, and then it exploded here.

Family is doing great, boys are growing up way too fast. Oldest is starting his first year in pitching machine so he’s really excited for that.
