Went to a beer tasting party last Saturday.

Had an opportunity to try the rare Dogfish Head World Wide Stout.  16% (hello!!)

Starts off like someone threw a shot in my coffee but finishes smooth like a good stout.

Very unique but satisfying.  Treat this like a special bottle of wine.  I was told that they are $10/bottle.

That one will get you in trouble!  The high ABV is not really noticeable (in a barleywine, I can definitely tell it's high ABV by the burn), and you can easily forget and drink it fast lol.  It's a really nice beer!

A friend gave me 3 cans from a brewery in Jasper, IN called Schnitz (I kept thinking it was Schlitz).  I had an Indiana Pale Ale, and India Pale Ale, and a Blonde.  I can honestly say that the India Pale Ale was horrid- really off, poorly balanced.  The Indiana Pale Ale was a little better, but not much.  The Blonde was "meh" at best.  They do have really cool looking cans tho...

IPAs tend not to be the model of a balanced beer vs say a German or Czech Pils or any other lager for that matter.  Not really sure what you were trying to describe, but nonetheless, I will steer clear of that one.

Dusting this one off...

Anyone celebrating with anything special tonight?  I'm thinking of going deep and big with Arctic Panzer Wolf, or Hopslam (way in back of fridge).  Teddy Bear Kisses is another option...

I will celebrate with a couple of Pinners. Had some zombie dust yesterday. Also maybe an Elvis Juice or two.
