Poch is awesome.

Unlikely but it would be so so nice to have Flo’s red card suspension overturned.

It would be good for FIFA so do your shady thing Infantino.

Bosnia is a sucky team to have to referee. Buncha oversized goons that shoulder block and pull jerseys all game long. One of those “figure they can’t call them all” teams.

So apparently our National Team Anthem is a John Denver song.

Apologies to @Demo, but for some strange reason, I dig it.

Yeah, what’s that about? Couldn’t care much less about soccer but have probably reached the bandwagon jumping point. But “Country Roads”? How on earth did that happen?

FIFA's pretty corrupt, so it might not make much of a difference, but I didn't realize that during the World Cup, there is no appeal process. (Probably should've known that -- but I didn't).

So the U.S. cannot appeal the horrible red card call on Flo.

That means it all comes down to one guy's decision. One guy -- and he made a bad call.

Officials make poor calls all the time, and though the U.S. won, it really hamstrung us having to go with 10 against Bosnia. But now that the match is over and the dust has settled, why not create the ability to go back, have more than ONE person look at it and say, "Hey, this wasn't the right call. Balogun can play the next match." Or, conversely: "Hey, this was the right call. Red card stands. Balogun is out against Belgium."

To go into a Round of 16 match without one of our best players on a very questionable call -- with no review of that call ... well, it sucks.

Ok, I guess.
Side note: Picked up daughter #1 and her best friend from school back in the day when they were in 2nd grade. They get in the van and the intro to “Livin’ on a Prayer” comes on. Think nothing of it until the singing starts and these 2 8yo girls out of nowhere bust out at the top of their lungs , “ TOMMY USED TO WORK ON THE DOCKS…”. They knew the whole damned song.

I was laughing too hard to drive. I had to pull over. Those lyrics out of the mouths of babes was the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.

I would have immediately muted the car stereo until I could switch it to White Light/White Heat.
