I'd prefer to see the Big ten return to 10 teams so we can do a true round robin in the regular season for basketball.  In your scenario, I would keep Penn State and show Northwestern the door.

I thought about booting Penn State or Northwestern but.. I just like the 11 and loved the Big Ten logo with the 11 in it.

Doing so would essentially dissolve the A10. Though Saint Louis was in the C-USA at point before the A10.

I figured having 2 teams in Western Ohio and a team on the Mississippi doesn't scream 'Atlantic' to me. Also, they're city based teams and would gel well with the other CUSA teams. Plus you get Cincy vs Xavier twice (Fight Fight Fight).

I might quibble over a few of the details (too many of your conferences have 11 members), switch a few teams, etc. However, this plan would be INFINITELY superior to the abject idiocy in place now. My rules: No conference should have over 12 teams and no conference should span more than 2 time zones (possibly excepting wherever Hawaii lands.)

These dumb mega-conferences are harmful to college sports.
