Class of '66 Old Fart Posted Monday at 06:12 PM Posted Monday at 06:12 PM The gauntlet our women's team faces this season and it ain't pretty. The Huskers (13-2) (2-2) are 9-1 at home. Their 2 conference losses are to USC and Iowa. They average 86 ppg with a +26 margin. 51% FG and 37% on 3s. 36 rpg with a +6 margin. 30% of their rebounds are off the offensive board. Britt Prince is their leading scorer at 19 ppg and is a 51% 3-point shooter. We shot the ball very well at Maryland and still lost by double digits. Our foul problems, turnovers and generally weak rebounding are just too much for us to overcome on most nights. We've got Z back but not sure if she can be that much of a difference maker. We'll hope for the best. Radio mamasa and NatHillIV 2 Quote
TTT Posted Tuesday at 07:34 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:34 PM Assuming the point spread is about 16…Do the IU Ladies cover? sidenote: Prince along with Blakes/Vandy were targeted for IU recruitment. IU got neither. (Prince made a silly Jewish comment in high school that she apologized for and is meaningless pertaining to her success. She was coached by her mother). Not even moral victories in big ten season, thus far. Quote

The response from both the Jewish community and the Britt family was outstanding. mamasa and Class of '66 Old Fart 1 1 Quote

When a classmate interviewer calls her "Brittler" and asks her how many Jews she's killed and she responds "6 million," that is objectively abhorrent, not just my perspective. I suggest you move on. ronzo4IU Posted Wednesday at 12:15 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:15 PM I don't think we cover the spread. Zania doesn't seem to be a full go yet as she is probably trying to get back to game shape after her recovery. We just don't have enough fire power to beat a good Nebraska team at home imo. Would be nice if we could keep it competitive though. mamasa 1 Quote
HoosierHoopster Posted Thursday at 03:24 PM Posted Thursday at 03:24 PM Feeling trepidation for this one, but hoping Z and the team get it going at home mamasa 1 Quote
TTT Posted Thursday at 07:40 PM Posted Thursday at 07:40 PM 14.5 point spread at Nebraska. IU 11-5 in wins and losses doesn’t sound so bad as it actually is. Is covering point spread considered a win this season? Kinda good feeling looking at it from that perspective I suppose. Quote
