Tied at 24 after 1Q and the women are doing a great job thus far.  Maya 1-2 on 3s and if she can start hitting them with regularity that will be a real plus.

35-31 ISU with 4:32 left in the 2nd and on a 7-0 run.

Wiseman picks up 3rd foul and Nevaeh has 2 fouls.  2 Cyclones each have 2 fouls.  Stotijn hits her 1st  3 of the year.  Shay 15 pts.  Crooks with 15 for ISU.

46-43 at the half with ISU leading but our women have played extremely well.  Shay 20 pts, and we've needed every one of them.

Things seem to be coming a little easier for Iowa State assisted by a 20% 3 point shooting player that is 2 for 3 on 3 ball.  Ciezki needs to out score Crooks which she is doing and Beaumont needs to out score Iowa State 2nd high scorer.  And then rest of IU Ladies play even with Iowa State.

Z was grabbing her leg at the end of the Gonzaga game and at that time Austin Render thought she was cramping.  Today he described it as a lower body injury but not long term in nature.

ISU started to gain separation over the last 4 min. of the 3rd.  Noyan and Caffey both with 4 fouls.  We've been called for 20 fouls; ISU 14.

Final score is not going to reflect just how hard our women played today.   Shay, Noyan and Caffey all 4 fouls.  Somehow Addie Crooks has only picked up a single foul.

93-78  with 4:53 left.   Shay 38p.      We're only 6-23 on 3s today which hasn't helped our cause.

Crooks is a very, very large woman. I'm guessing ISU might be fibbing just a little when they list her at 205 pounds.

Being generous Z may have put IU Ladies 5 points closer.  More likely would have picked up a couple early fouls and spent most of her time on the bench anyway or the alternative would have been letting Crooks score at will playing as many minutes as needed.  That’s why Iowa State is ranked number ten and it takes a top 10 team to beat them.  
IU Ladies are going to play several ranked teams in big ten.

Shay fouls out with 3:41 left having played every second.  38p and never made a 3 today.  just 1-6 on 3s.

Bright side today is Maya 3-4 on 3s and hopefully she's over her freshman jitters and can continue to be a positive with her 3-point shooting.

Wish I coulda watched this game. 

For a 5-8 guard to score 38 points with only one 3 is pretty amazing. 

Had she not fouled out, she'd probably have reached 40.
