It’s an exhibition- they’re a new group getting used to playing fast and aggressive together

76-24 end of 3.  Ciezki 21 pts. leads the scoring.  Team 13-27 on 3s.  Makalusky 7 pts and 5 reb.  2 of her rebounds were off the offensive glass a pleasant surprise to me.  I watched a lot of her high school games and I felt she didn't like to mix it up underneath.

Caffey is really special. The team depth is not.

IMO much like the men's team, the women will have to be a strong 3-point shooting team and rely on defense.  Not going to be a strong rebounding team and not yet convinced we'll have a strong inside presence.

Idk. I like the depth compared to previous years.

Young depth, but depth. Not in the front court so much.

Stotjin (sp?) is a bit of a chucker. Can’t get my mind around her game yet.

Much of the second 5 has strong potential.

Still 5 min. left to play but both Caffey and Makalusky with solid outings for their first collegiate games.  Caffey hasn't scored in the 2nd half but she's recorded 2 reb; 5 asst; and 2 stls.  She had 2 TOs, but both were early in the 1st Q.   She's played 23 min. thus far.  Makalusky in double figures with 11 pts; 8 reb; 3 asst in 17 min.

Just finished with work, so am only tuning in now. 

My first observation: Our players have been spending some quality time in the tanning booth!

Btw above pics are courtesy of my mom, she’s a women’s bball regular, has been going to all their games basically since we had a women’s team. She’s liking what she sees fwiw

Just hearing the announcers rave about Ciezki. 

Would be a huge boon if she could be more consistent this season. 

Last season, she'd be great for a game -- then disappear for 5.

Physicality of big ten and the better to best teams inside games….gonna be tough sledding.  

However, even as a freshman Makalusky physically looks more sturdy and a touch heavier in a lean way than in high school.  That’s a good thing.
