My neck of the woods! Ok, not really, it’s like 3 hours. Doesn’t matter, in my to do’s for December. 
Also, doesn’t this feel like it should be an Asst Coach tell of some kind?

Had the same thought about the assistant tell. Haven’t tried to piece it together but someone should, or I guess we may be able to reverse engineer it once we know the staff

It’s just that if this is DeVries’ 1st offer and it wasn’t someone he’d offered previously or had some other connection to then it’s reasonable to speculate that the offer was precipitated by an incoming Asst. Currently the only offers mentioned in his timeline are IU, K-State, Mizzou and Austin Peay. None of the coaches on those staffs has a previous stop with DeVries that I could find, but I would still venture to guess that when the staff is named 1 of them will be from a staff that’s been recruiting this kid, whether they’ve actually offered or not.

Norton who is at IU now with DeVries played at the same AAU team when he was playing back in the day it sounds like

So to @Demo’s theory, maybe not a huge tell that IU is, e.g., yoinking a MO St assistant, but illuminating nonetheless. Wonder if Norton will be in a full AC role or not — my hunch is it’s in flux based on who else joins up.

You're misunderstanding.  Nick Norton has been on DeVries' staff.

I understand that. WVU called like 9 people “assistant coach” last year but the three traditional assistants were Frazier, Barnett, and Ostrom.

I'm very confident Norton is coming to IU too, just not sure if he’ll be one of the three permitted to recruit off campus etc., or if he’ll be in a player development role (a la Cheaney under CMW). I assume someday Norton will be on the bench, but whether that’s next year or not may depend on whether some other options join the staff.

For anyone reasonably close to Kansas City, the first UAA event of the season takes place April 11-13, and might be an opportunity to watch Branham play (KC Run GMC).  Homefield KCK Showcase Center is the venue.
