Right I get it.  She said Stevens was never a yes.  All I indicated is somebody started the rumor and let others know -- and that is how the rumor spread and how some became disappointed with the announcement.  Then she repeated herself.  I never said he was a yes.  Nor do I care.  Stevens has as many NCAA Championships as I do.

Thanks everyone for the clarity,  plus it makes me like the hire even a little more. Means DDV really wanted it - i like his hunger/ambition to aggressively go for it.
