Sorry to jump the gun on @Class of '66 Old Fart, but saw that the game time and TV were announced and wanted to remind everyone that our women are dancin' -- even if the men are not.

Birmingham No. 1 Region: No. 9 IU (19-12, 10-8 B1G) vs. No. 8 Utah (22-8, 13-5 Big 12) in Columbia, S.C.

Let's roll!

Was wondering why there wasn't anything up on IU's #9 seed selection but I see Old Fart was wallowing in a bottle of Jack after the men got hosed by the ncaa.... :)

Moren getting this team in and as a #9 this season is such a reflection of her coaching. We'll see if they can get on to the second round, but regardless such an excellent coach. Now just hope she lands a couple athletic pieces in the portal and especially a big for next season.

Utah is one of the nation's most prolific 3-point shooting teams. The Utes shot 37.4% from 3-point range (ranked No. 10 in the country and made 10 triples (No. 6) on 26.8 attempts per game (No. 13).

This is six straight NCAA Tourney appearances and seven since 2016. For the men you have to go back to 2012 to get six appearances in March Madness and all the way back to 2008 to get to seven.

Anyone who says they had the women's team as the superior squad of the two in a given decade would be lying based on history but speaks to what Moren has built. This is the first time in both program's history this has happened where the women are clearly better at the moment.

Actually, ever since T. Moren was hired and shortly thereafter I felt IU Ladies basketball was superior to men’s IU basketball program in their respective fields (caught on during the Buss and Cahill years)…..Not just winning and losing but the difference in the high character of representing IU and the community from both, coaches and players (after smoothing some things out to establish a very positive culture)….A tribute for to T. Moren leadership and achievement.

Several years (probably 5 or 6) ago I posted who was going to win a national championship first IU Ladies or IU men?  Currently, neither has happened.  However, IU Ladies thus far has a big ten regular season championship and won several March Madness games and an NIT to get things going from the fans.

One of the few but given the circumstances…I thought T. Moren was an excellent hire for IU Ladies when she was hired.
