Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 7 Author Posted March 7 Gardner did not start but did play in his first game since Dec. 19, and scored a game and career high 24 pts. as Fishers defeated Hamilton SE 75-65 and faces Carmel this evening for the sectional championship. Able to practice the past few weeks, Gardner checked in midway through the first quarter and contributed by shooting 8 of 12 from the floor and 7-for-11 from the foul line while grabbing five rebounds. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 What a ballgame! Carmel defeats Fishers 50-49 and ends Fishers undefeated season. Really physical game. In the first half there was a scrum on the far sideline between Cooper Zachary and a Carmel player. Carmel's 6th man left the bench and ran across the court and was ejected as a result. After Gardner's strong game last night after a long absence, he struggled tonight. Finished with 13p but missed 7 FGA almost all at the rim. He also had 4r, 1a, 1s, 4t. Cooper Zachary also an off night for him with just 8p, 3r, 1a, 2s. Kai McGrew was the big gun for Fishers tonight with 22 of Fishers' 49 points. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 8 Author Posted March 8 Because of his broken hand in December, Gardner played in very few games this season and game stats were not posted on MaxPreps. From a variety of sources: 7 games: 20.0p 6 games: 5.2r Meaningless data for a, s, b & t. Purely informational on Cooper Zachary for 23 games - does not include his 2 sectional appearances. 15.0p, 2.9r, 5.8a, 2.7s, .3b, 2.2t 47% FG, 44% on 3s, 89% FT Demo 1 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 14 Author Posted July 14 Got the impression from 247 there's no longer any romance going on with IU. Feeling I got is we've got someone else we're more focused on and/or maybe we got a feeling from him that we weren't that high on his dance card. Quote

Not surprising, I guess Quote
go iu bb Posted August 4 Posted August 4 I saw on 247 that he cut his list to 8 and we're still on his top list but it seems unlikely he will end up at IU. I'm not sure why didn't just cut IU. I see he's also dropped quite a bit in the rankings. From 30ish to the 60s. Quote
Demo Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Not sure I’d worry about setting a reminder to watch this one. Class of '66 Old Fart and mamasa 2 Quote
