All in all, for a cream puff game it’s a win.  But Coach Cig has got this thing.  You can tell by his halftime and end of game comments it was not good enough. He knows the competition level will increase and he ain’t loosing.  Got to fix the fans leaving at halftime though.

I'm just going to say it. I don't understand how. To me, it appeared Rourke was pressured a lot. Maybe they were due to secondary coverage? Or Rourke not seeing the field good enough?

Agree with you.  I was at the game and Rourke had immediate pressure on him several times, especially after the middle of the second quarter.

It can just as easily be explained by understanding how PFF works, especially at the college level. That is, anyone can apply to be a PFF analyst and it's basically a bunch of dudes grading film in mom's basement. Or that's at least how it was up until a few years ago.

You can get PFF to say just about anything you want if you dig deep enough.

Maybe it's graded by sacks allowed or who was blocking who? It's possible they personally did a good job but man, it didn't look like they did a good job at pass protection as a unit, to me at least.

They grade the individual play based on how, in their trained (?) eye, the player performed. I'm not sure exactly how the scale works, but each player is graded on each play by a dude getting paid $50-$60 a game and a free PFF sub in a job in which the first qualification is "display passion for football." A play with a grade of 95 in one mom's basement could be a 75 in another mom's basement, completely subjective. PFF is cool for their collection of objective data, but their player grades aint it, imo.
