Michigan with the always exciting walk-off walk to beat Iowa 3-2 in 10 innings.

Wolfies play Penn State at 8 tomorrow night in a winners' bracket game.

Iowa plays Illinois at 11 a.m. in an elimination game.

That sandwiches our tilt against O$U at 3 p.m. in a winners' bracket game.

Iowa/Michigan dominated by pitching.

Michigan was incredibly fortunate to score the 3 runs they did, but credit to their pitching for keeping Iowa to 2 runs across 10 innings.

I think we broke Purdue. They were in first place when we played them a few weeks ago. They just lost to Nebraska to end their season with 7 straight losses and lost 9 of their last 11.

They just weren't very good. Benefit from a crap schedule so it made their record look decent.

Purdue also has a coach who is not the greatest. People have criticized Mercer who while he has his faults is a pretty solid coach.

Goff on other hand at Purdue is maybe the worst coach in the league. His decisions have help hand IU four games in last two years in the series. While the Hoosiers may have one anyways he certainly made it easier.

Boilers had a good coach in Wasikowski who is now doing pretty good things at Oregon. Unlike IU though when they have lost a couple good coaches and made decent hires, PU hired a basket case and is paying accordingly.

Alabama fans tried to warn Purdue what a mistake they were making bringing him in which is never a good thing and they were 100% right.  He is not their only problem by any means and has to overcome some bad decisions at administrative level. However, he is a part of the problem rather than part of the solution.

Be thankful we are not Purdue who had a chance to take off a decade ago with that 2012 team similar to IU and has botched decisions at every turn. IU on other hand has made solid decisions last decade to try to build program and while not everyone has worked perfectly, they are at least trying and making 10 times better decisions than Boilermakers in this regard but that is nothing new:).

Illinois and Iowa are going to extra innings. Probably going to delay the start of our game.

Iowa just got jobbed on a really bad call in the bottom of the 10th. Called interference on a double play attempt... runner made clean slide into second, no contact with the shortstop, but they called him out (he was) and interference on the runner to call the batter out at first.

Iowa has bases loaded, no out, trailing 4-2 before the play.
