Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 11, 2024 Author Posted March 11, 2024 Lives in South Bend and attends SB Washington HS. Comes from a basketball family with 2 sisters playing bball at PUke. As such, this should be considered a long shot recruitment. @SR3BucketKing MaxPreps 22-23 Stats 23-24 stats weren't posted this season. https://www.si.com/college/indiana/basketball/2026-in-state-guard-steven-reynolds-iii-visiting-indiana-hoosiers-basketball-sunday 247 Rivals On3 Hudl Demo 1 Quote
taco corp Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Thanks for the info Old Fart. Always appreciated! U mention Reynolds as probably a long shot and that wouldn’t disappoint me at all. I’ve watched quite a few of his high school games and I’m not seeing a 4 star rating that some services have him at. What I have always seen was underwhelming. I’m wondering if he is Xavier Booker part 2? Great in pickup ball AAU, but way less than that in normal games. Class of '66 Old Fart 1 Quote

You've just been hired to report on his games next season since the SB Tribune is a ghost of what it once was. taco corp and Demo 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 11, 2024 Author Posted April 11, 2024 Eric Bossi's recap of the USA Basketball minicamp. Steven Reynolds, SG, No. 49- Reynolds has room to get a little tighter with his ball handling but is an outstanding two-guard prospect. He can shoot it from deep, he can create off the dribble for himself and others and he plays with some real creativity on the offensive end. It is easy to see why the in state programs like Indiana, Notre Dame and Purdue – along with many others – have made him an early priority. Demo 1 Quote

I'm really looking forward to finding some Reynolds games because there seems to be a lot of love him or hate him here, depending on when people see him. Quote

Unfamiliar with his game...why the disparity in viewpoints? Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 14, 2024 Author Posted April 14, 2024 Posting in his own thread rather than the AAU thread because he's playing for Phenom United (16U) and those games aren't getting any direct 3SSB coverage this weekend. Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 8, 2025 Author Posted March 8, 2025 Absolutely no expectation he'll ever be a Hoosier but FWIW since he does have an offer. His 24-25 season is over and MaxPreps only has stats for 20 of his games: 24.0p / 8.2r / 4.7s / 2.7s / 2.4b / 3.0t 50% FG / 33% on 3s / 81% FT taco corp and Demo 2 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Saw him play.....dropped 50 points on the team I keep book for. While we aren't very good, there were a couple of plays where we played perfect defense on him and knocked the shot down anyway. He's a stud but likely ends up at Purdue. cybergates 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 17, 2025 Author Posted April 17, 2025 Steven will be attending high school in Texas next year. His dad who recently resigned as the girls head coach at South Bend Washington HS along with Steven's 3 sisters are headed to Texas. Steven's dad will become an assistant coach for UT Arlington and that's where the 3 girls will play college ball. Demo 1 Quote
