Not much of a 'wow' factor is there?  If I had looked at her stats first which I usually do, I don't think I'd have posted the fact she was entering the portal.  Saw the 6'7" and didn't look any further.

She does play for the Brazilian national team and played at Montverde.  She may not be able to step right in and contribute but with the right development could be a good pick up.

There are several players in transfer portal and IU Ladies need a couple.  Here is a good one…among other good forward/post players….Tamia Gardiner / Oregon State.

And Grace Vanslooten / Oregon.

There is a lot of playing time in the forward/post available for a high level player.

One of these plus another high level player would get IU IU Ladies reloaded.

Both have "do not disturb" tags -- which means they already know where they're going.

Probably not here. Would be nice to pick up a quality player or two. We have the schollys available.

Here is the current snip from wbbblog.com (Raoul's site) showing to me the portal is really out of control with 943 still looking for a place to call home.  The grad transfer make sense to me as they are either from an Ivy league school or chasing a better grad program then where they are currently at.  Most of the rest will just find themselves sitting the bench at a new school unless they go to a low-end D-1 program or leave D-1 completely.

Either know where they're going or know where they want to go.  Some do reach out to a few schools to possibly seek a higher NIL opportunity.

UCONN loses to Iowa. Next morning one of the most highly rated in class of 2024 commits to UCONN…similar results in past for SC and a few others.

IU Ladies work hard for all it gets especially since recent success and the atmosphere including the fans/crowds at games and a well respected coach and staff.  To hold serve or more IU Ladies are going to have to get 2 of these all star players from transfer portal that fits.

Shocking how many are in the portal, including established stars who would not merely be complaining about playing time. The Oregon State players (Gardiner, von Oelhoffen) are a particular surprise--is it due to the demise of the Pac 12? What do they figure is going to be an improvement? It would be great to get a player of that caliber . . . . but I wonder what these people are looking for? or what would make them happy?

The demise of the Pac-12 probably had a bit to do with it.  These players will be losing significant visibility on the national stage with the program moving to the West Coast Conference.

Sunday April 10, 2022 T. Moren announced the addition of Geary, Scalia, and Parrish to IU Ladies Basketball program….Expecting that a similar announcement from the 2024 transfer portal is getting closer.

Phelia/Mich no longer with do not disturb (contact) tag.

What a big mess….. wonder if some programs have to scramble to field a team for next year.

hard to keep up with the spelling on all the names.

Seth Tow @SethTow

IU is in play for Lucy Olsen, per the WBB version of Trilly Donovan.  23.3 pts 4.8 rebs, 3.8 ast per game for Villanova this year. Shot under 30% from three, but still a volume scorer that would be huge as #iuwbb makes up for losing Mackenzie Holmes and Sara Scalia.

Schools in the early mix for Villanova transfer Lucy Olsen: Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Stanford, West Virginia Iowa is making Olsen their top portal priority, per source.

programs that have recruited a player to the extent to be in the mix regarding almost all recruits are top priorities for those programs with a few exceptions.
