Fire Coach Woodson Thread

Recommended Posts

Biggest concern for me is the first half sounds exactly like a mike woodson coached team. Poor shooting and turning over the ball. Undisciplined. Hopefully second half looks nothing like that

Yeah, Rice and Carlyle aren’t the shooting answers. Maybe Goode is, but, idk. Can’t have 1 guy on the floor that can make them.

That’s in line with what I felt as well. Talent upgrade with Rice and Ballo but same schematic issues, and lack of shooting, that we were all worried about heading into the year.

obviously still early but nothing about today alleviated any of those concerns.

Ant knows how to get viewers on Twitter that is for sure. He knows if he mentions IU than lots of people will reply. He's right for the most part about our fanbase. But then he makes some dumb comments about Anthony Leal needing to be in the game at the end of every game. COME ON that's clickbait material.

Lol

Sure… LOL.

If you’re laughing at Ant for being prescient, fine. If you’re laughing at Leal… glad he’s a Hoosier.

I’m laughing at Chris…

Look a lot closer to a 12-8, 13-7 type of team in the B10 than anything better. It’s just October though.

I never got a chance to watch the game, but if this team finishes 12-8 or 13-7 with the amount of money they spent and the expectations for this team, then Mediocre Mike with that mediocre record in the B10 should be out, period!

I think the hardest thing for Mediocre Mike to do is develop team chemistry, which could be his downfall; however, I do think he has a player on the floor that can help with team chemistry and that is Myles Rice!

Another built-in excuse for a hack of a coach.

They looked much better in the second half, to be fair. Game plan is still the game plan, but the pieces look better. Suppose the next time they’ll really be tested is SCar or Atlantis, can’t remember which comes first.

As leader of the Fire Woodson train, there's no excuse for this team not to make it to the second weekend in the tournament (Sweet 16). Assuming there's no major injuries, this team has the talent for the Sweet 16. If no Sweet 16, he needs to be let go.

Okay you two posers - neither of you are the leader of the fire Woody train. If you're gonna make me? I'll say it:

There is only one poster who is so irrevocably hitched to the Fire Woodson train that Woody could:

  • win four straight titles
  • with an offense so inventive that Steph Curry, Brad Stevens, and Joe Mazulla say "Awesome! How did Woody think of that?"
  • with players that are born and raised in Monroe County and
  • who cure cancer in their spare time,

and he would still want Woody gone after the fourth straight national title. And that is:

I agree!  I think top 3 in the B10, final 4 in the the B10 tournament and the 2nd weekend are all legitimate expectations for a team that invested a huge amount of resources to it!  It is too bad that we have a head coach that doesn’t seem to pay it forward and put the same effort!

I mean if he can do all that, all from the barcalounger with a fat stogie in his mouth, a whiskey in one hand and calling for a tee time with the other, I'm all in.

That’s right. As a day 0 hater of the Mike Woodson hire, I’ll be driving the bus until the end. Consider me the #truefan version of a hater.
