Class of '66 Old Fart

IUWBB @ Ohio State - Sunday, 02.04.24 @ Noon on FS1

Recommended Posts

Last night, Wisky played O$U (18-3) (9-1) tough in the first half trailing 31-26 at the break.  Second half was all Buckeyes winning 87-49.  Hoosiers cannot afford to get off to a slow start.  Although it won't help us Sunday, some positive sounding news from Sydney in the tweet below.

I have no inside info but would be shocked if Parrish plays for at least a week or two. Very rare to go from crutches one game to on the court the next.

Agreed. By mid-March at 100% is the goal that really matters. 100% for the home game against Iowa on 2/22 would be kinda nice.

A few of Parrish teammates have referred to her tweet and I think Parrish will be back within a week (Michigan State game) maybe (Purdue at the latest)….and at full strength later part of February.  Getting near clearance to play.

Starting Sunday early IU vs Ohio State could be for first place as there is a legitimate chance that Maryland will beat Iowa.

Iowa 93.  Maryland 85.

OSU VS IU playing for a share of first place.

What in the name of all that is Hoosier is going on?  If Lexi isn't 100% today, we are in deep doo doo.

Chloe Peterson -

Lexus Bargesser doesn’t have a boot on during warmups, but she’s standing off to the side during shooting drills. Also, Sydney Parrish is off crutches, using just a walking boot.

Now the good news is that Lexi's not at all listed on the availability report.  Sydney and Currie-Jelks are 'Out'; Wisne is 'Doubtful'.

Kel'el Ware -- leg/ankle injury

Xavier Johnson -- foot injury (twice)

Malik Reneau -- ankle injury

Syd Parrish -- injured leg/ankle

Lexus Bargesser -- some sort of foot/ankle injury

What is it with our basketball programs and lower body injuries!!! Let's retire that damn walking boot!!!

They are very athletic right?  This matchup will be tough for our girls. Hope we shoot the 3 ball well. Interesting matchup.

They have one woman who is a beast getting to the rim.
