We don’t know.  And other than apologies to his teammates, i really don’t care.  I’d rather see accountability for all the missed free throws.  :)

Nope.

Making free throws is a basic basketball skill. Just practice and practice and practice until you get better.

Throwing elbows and taking other cheap shots at opponents demonstrates a character flaw in the offender.

Big difference.

Yeah not even close.  It wasn't malicious in any way.  It was incredibly stupid.  The other kids was an a$$ as well.  BFD.

Yes, agree that Gunn should have reacted differently but he has probably never had an opponent tilt his head down and start rubbing it on his shoulder/upper chest.  Really a bush league/bizarre move. As you stated the Wiscy guy was an a$$.

It definitely is a microcosm of what is going on inside the program.  The key you mentioned is downplaying the consequences.  I think it’s more than downplaying though, I think Woodson is choosing not to have any.
I would never have guessed he played for knight.

Throwing an elbow, regardless of how well it connects definitely shows a lack of character and maturity. Doesn't matter how badly he was goaded into a reaction... fact is, he reacted in a way that got him ejected.

That’s surprising to a lot of us.  I didn’t think his coaching philosophy would be exactly like Knight’s, I would think he would have some of his philosophies and traits, especially when it comes to discipline

He talked a great game about iu and culture but delivered on none of that. His culture stinks.

I agree with Hummel on this one he's right. I think the other part of it is fans have expectations do I think they're high yes but as a team you have to meet expectations and when you can't the maybe just maybe we need to lower them.

Yes it does and quite badly if you ask me.  IMO, he’s trying to discipline the team like a NBA coach would, he leaves it up to the league and front office and in this case it’s the NCAA and university.  It seems like he doesn’t want to be the bad guy, more like the good old boy and buddy

No!  Absolutely not. They’ve already been lowered by the university, we need to keep the expectations higher to hold the university accountable for something and that is to put a competitive team on the floor every year.  Heck, Purdue does it and they don’t have 5* recruits, but what they do have is players that fit the system and culture of IU.  It’s clear CMW doesn’t know what that is or should be.  Like Hornsby stated “he talked a great game”!

No. Lower expectations once and you'll always find a reason to do it again.

One cannot continually lower expectations simply because the team/coach refuses to meet them. These expectations are certainly attainable with reasonable effort.

Yawn.  Doesn't make him a bad kid.  Makes him stupid, fine.
