3SSB game of the day featured undefeated Indiana Elite vs Phenom U (Darryn Peterson).  Phenom led 36-28 at the half; Peterson 17 in the first half.  IE double digit TOs and just 2-11 on 3s.

IE started the 2nd half on a 12-4 run and tied it up at 40.  Sisley held Peterson to 2 pts. through the first 8 min. of the 2nd half.

Final score 70-61 as Phenom U handed IE its first loss.  Peterson finished with 38p and 11r  and was 18-20 FT.

Mullins 16p but just 3-12 on 3s in his first game back after suffering a concussion.  Sisley 11p and 7r.   Moreno 8p and 10r.    Last report I saw indicated IE had 17 TOs in the game.

Peterson’s such a killer. If I had to bet a meaningful amount on the ‘25 most likely to become a 20pt NBA scorer, it wouldn’t be Dybantsa, it’d be Peterson.

I think this was a "showcase" game and the actual tournament starts on Saturday?

That is correct although I thought I read bracket play starts on Thursday.  The whole event concludes on Sunday the 14th.

Good thing this morning was another showcase game as Indiana Elite got waxed 78-57 by New World.   IE trailed 39-33 at the half.  Turnovers again a problem in the first half.

Mullins finished with 20p;  3r;  2a.  Moreno 13p;  10r.   Grant Polk from New World made 8-3's and a teammate poured in 25p.

Dushawn London on Nate Ament --

Ament has been a prospect who has been consistently playing at an elite level throughout the spring. The now five-star followed up big performances at DMV Live by helping lead his team to a win over Mass Rivals. What stood out the most was Ament's versatility and the way he can impact the game outside of just scoring. While he did have an efficient night offensively, Ament made his biggest impact by rebounding the ball, blocking shots and playing within the game.  Ament is currently being recruited by some of the top programs in the nation including: UConn Duke Kentucky Indiana among others

Woody was at the NBA Camp earlier in the week reportedly watching a couple of New Zealanders and is at the 3SSB event today.

Mike Schumann just tweeted that we're 4 deep at the 3SSB event today.

Internationals, really? Thought the roster building strategy was pretty clear. Guess not.

IE squad won earlier today to advance in the 3SSB championship.  The 2 losses in the showcase games were of no consequence but the rest of the way it's a single elimination event.    They play again this afternoon vs Team Loaded (NC) which features Mikel Brown.

Moreno:  20 PTS, 9 REB, 5 BLK                9-14 FG

Mullins:  12 PTS, 6 REB, 6 AST, 2 STL     5-15 FG

Sisley:  11 PTS, 10 REB                              5-13 FG

Big win for IE as they mercy ruled Mikel Brown and Team Loaded (NC) 68-48.  We were 4-deep at this game.  IE will face the winner of Team Loaded VA (Nate Ament) vs. Power 5 on Saturday in a quarterfinal game.

Mullins:  22 points on 6-11 shooting from 3.

Sisley: 13 points; 5 reb           3-4 on 3s

Mikel Brown Jr.:  19p;  2r;  3a;  2s

Purely an FYI, 3SSB is referring to its summer championship as the Palmetto Championship.
