Indiana 6 Game Mini-Series Package

Unfortunately they do it because they can. With Kansas being in this package, all bets were off from the jump. I've bought single-game tickets direct from IU before (rare, but it's possible every so often) and it was a pick-your-seat experience.

Yeah, and I'm not even asking for the pick your seat experience. There was a LOT of crimson in the Phog last year b/c it was a pick your own seat experience. Do everything like they've already done. Prioritize the Varsity Club point system. All good. But they have all the tools and information available to give us a general idea of where our seats are going to be before requiring us to pay for them. Even if they got a bunch of opt-outs of the package, they'd be able to sell enough single game tickets to Kansas, MSU and OSU to more than make up for that.

Thinking about this some more this morning...

I'm checking my account at 4:00 today. If my seat assignment is posted at the time they draw my $520 (plus processing fee, brought to you by Ticketmaster), I'm going to be pissed.

Not to worry  - no way that your seat assignment will appear in your account today.

I got notification of the 4-game pack for the south court for OSU and the cupcakes being fulfilled. Didn't get a seat assigned yet but anywhere they give you behind the basket is a good seat:)

Those four game packs are being sold separately from the 6-game pack because the South Court is being used as a small student section for Kansas and MSU. The four game one is selling the south court since no student tickets are being distributed for those. These are the best deal for $232 with OSU in it for prime seats behind the basket.

Am out of town for Kansas and MSU so no reason to go for full pack for worse seats.

Seat locations are starting to drop in ticket accounts under "Order History."  They are working their way down by priority point total and hope to have the process completed this week.  Not sure when they will be downloadable but at least seat locations will be known.

Keep checking your IU ticket accounts.

Great my seats are going to be located next to the roof!!!! I know at least I got tix to the Kansas, Ohio St., and Mich St games, but it was a lot nicer the last few years sitting in row 19 in the main level.

So you have your seat assignment?

None for me either. Of course it’s only been a week and a half since they took everybody’s money, 2 weeks since they confirmed who got tickets, and maybe like 6 weeks since they started taking registrations so it seems a little ambitious to expect that I’d know what I purchased yet.

I’ve resigned my self to “AA Row 16” and “hey, we’re in the building”. Anything better is gravy. Eternal sunshine pumper.

On the other hand, I had some of the worst seats in Phog Allen and they were a touch higher than sitting in the baseline bleachers at SSAH. And they ended up being free. College Basketball roadtrips giveth and taketh away.

Yeah I’m assuming we’ll be posted up right next to you up there. The best thing I did last year during the entire Lawrence experience remains warning my Kansas buddies that our experience in Bloomington didn’t have a single chance being as easy as it was there. And yes, apologies in advance that I’m bringing along 2 Jayhawks.

Maybe it was because they knew they were about to clap us, but the Kansas fans were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, while I saw plenty of embarrassing IU fans in Lawrence.

Kansas fans were awesome. The appropriate amount of banter while also being welcoming. All in good fun. Buddy, let me tell you, regardless of where we sit, I’m nervous about how my friends will be treated if they are wearing blue all weekend.

Oh, I wouldn’t worry about that at all tbh. I’ve never seen things escalate beyond “friendly banter” in all my times in Assembly Hall. Even for Purdue games. Especially assuming your buddies aren’t the type to go looking for a fight. I’d be really surprised and disappointed if they ran into more than some harmless jabs.

Might be different out in town after the game when everyone is lubed up.

Yeah I’m not too worried about things during the game. Mainly everything besides that. I’m 41 and have 2 kids. Trust that I ditched any friends who would be out looking for a fight a long time ago :-). I’m bringing a pretty tame bunch.

Going on 2 weeks without a seating assignment. Two giant thumbs up, gang.

Bush league. Absolute amateur hour (or…weeks?). But how adventurous! Ya know, next time I take my family to a restaurant I’m going to say, “no thank you on the menus. Here is my money. Take it. We’ll have 4 foods. You take that money and, most importantly, your time, and decide on 4 foods that we will have. It can be a nice medium rare filet in about 14 to 17 minutes. It could be butt stew and take 13 and a half hours. We will wait and we will eat it. That is a reasonable and logical outcome to this situation.”
