With NIL the need for a scholarship may be negotiable in certain circumstances.

They may also have to take a look at some form of roster limitations going forward. With Ledlum and Wilcher, St John’s now has, effectively, 15 scholarship players. That feels like a haves vs have nots situation that at least at first blush doesn’t sit well with me.

Why the Heck does St. John's appear to have unlimited NIL funding?  Do these players not care about playing time?  What in the world is going on.

Bizarro World.

Can’t remember the guy’s name and too lazy to dig it up, but there was some dude who basically WAS was their NIL program and had virtually unlimited access to funds who really wanted Mike Anderson gone and effectively cut them off until that happened.

I don't blame if he's getting a ton of money. It's hard to turn that down especially if your pro prospects are suspect and/or limited to foreign leagues. If these guys are smart, and most don't seem to be, just stash that cash into a retirement fund and retire early. I hope to god some of these guys are doing this. It's not overwhelming life changing money in the day to day world (you can't live off it for more than a few years) , but if you invest it correctly you're set.

Adam Zagoria --  Quinn Slazinski is expected to move on from @StJohnsBBall, per sources.

Shocking!  Simply shocking!  lol

He was the one I mentioned who I thought would move on.  And talk about a guy who was loyal to Pitino….he LEFT Louisville to play for Pitino at Iona and then was one the first players to follow Pitino to St John’s this year at a time when Pitino was having trouble bringing in guys
