The net is a weird system but the difference most likely comes down to UConn has not played a team that is in Quad 4 of the Net while we have two games in Quad 4.   Outside of that, we are pretty much equal on strength of wins.  Losses, like a close loss to SC, also improves their Net.  Thus, why it is weird.

If we’re really #5 in the NET, then it is flat out a flawed metric. We are 9-0 against ranked teams. UCONN is 5-3. LSU is 1-1. Stanford is 7-1, but they benefit from having four teams in conference ranked 16-25th.

If UCONN benefits from a close loss to SC, they should be equally penalized for a close win (8 pts) over a 10-14 Georgetown team two games later. Same should be said about Stanford’s 3 pt. home win over 11-14 Oregon St. and loss to 13-11 Washington. Same for LSU’s 3 pt. win against last-place in conference 6-17 Tx A&M.

I know it doesn’t matter, because we’re the consensus second best team in the nation. But to have a team at 25-1 with 9 wins against the top 25 (5 against the top 10) be fifth in a metric points to it not being a great metric.

UCONN has played Xavier. They are 0-16 in conference and 7-18 overall. How are they not quad 4??

Idk if it was mentioned somewhere... Leigha Brown and Maddie Nolan both acted like complete punks last night. Idk if they just can't handle getting waxed by their home state university (that they turned down) or what. But I was embarrassed for Michigan last night.

It doesn’t matter what system there is a certain amount of hype and promotion takes place based on traditional programs and/or coaching…Yes, LSU and Mulky are gifted for their season.  And Mulky is wrong in saying after LSU loss to SC that “ there is SC and then everyone else because LSU loss to SC…No.  LSU is only about a top 4 or 5 team in the big ten not the country.  IU Ladies would match up very well with A.R. and LSU.  LSU is not on the elite list of everyone else this year (lots of smoke and mirrors).

Probably will be after the Net adjusts.

Brown should have been T'd up several times. Nolan was T'd up and then told the crowd to let her have it. That was hilarious, but I agree both players needed to be reeled in by their coach which never happened.

It was crazy how much they pouted. Nolan wasn't even touched when she whined lol

The most likely all B1G First team is Caitlin Clark, Mackenzie Holmes, Grace Berger, Diamond Miller, and Leigha Brown.

Of those, Brown and Clark are horrible players to watch - angry, pouty, entitled.

Diamond Miller, Grace, and Mack are a joy. I also love watching Cotie McMahon on OSU - great freshman star and a classy kid always.
