In her season opener against Columbus North, Makalusky dropped in 23 pts. which included hitting 3 - 3s and 6-7 FTs.  Hamilton Southeastern is ranked #5 in class 4A.

Hamilton Southeastern defeated Columbus East (sorry mamasa) 94-42.  Maya with 28p playing just 3 quarters.  She had 21p at the half that included 5 triples.  Earlier this week, her older sister Riley, committed to play bball at Butler.

HSE takes on Center Grove tonight at 7:30 and the game will be streamed for anyone wishing to watch Maya play.

Makalusky's season came to an end in a sectional championship loss to Fishers.

22-23 Season - 24 games:  15.4 ppg; 3.9 rpg; 1.6a; 1.2 s; .8b        46% FG; 40% on 3s; 74% FT

21-22 Season - 22 games:  13.4 ppg; 1.8 rpg; 1.0a; 1.0s; .5b         46% FG; 41% on 3s; 78% FT

Why on God's green earth is she playing with a KY AAU club? Gross.

We need the boys version of Indiana Elite for the girls. Hmmmm business proposition.

Maybe she got picked up from KY team to play in one of their tourney's.  That happens in travel softball all the time. I know I'm not telling you anything you don't already know. lol

However, as a coach, I was never a fan of it because sometimes those teams try to talk you into coming over and joining that team. I mean, it's the nature of the beast, but players on good, solid teams usually stay put. We would try to find a position player, pitcher or catcher when one of our girls got injured or had to miss a specific Showcase Tourney.

I meant more like... a bigger deal than the girls IE. The boys is a massive organization.

I get it.  This is a common problem across the US but slowly it is getting better.

Sister committed to Butler.  Doubt if that will be a factor vs interesting Purdue vs IU.  However, IU Ladies are at a point where it is a very high honor to be in IU Ladies basketball program.

AAAWWWEEESSSOOOMMMEEE in so many ways….T. Moren and IU Ladies basketball program are making Indiana High School recruiting in roads…..as T. Moren envisioned.  And great job Parrish, Holmes and rest of the IU Ladies.

Seems like a really strong pick up.  Moren likes height and shooting and Maya offers both.
