Often identified simply as Jenica Raine and attends Johnston HS in Johnston, IA.  Haven't found a great deal about her but she is ranked #1 in the '26 class by Top Spot Basketball.  She also played in the 17U Great Plains Challenge, a U.S. Junior Nationals Girls Event.

I've been able to track her points and rebounds for most of her games.  Thru 16 games she's averaging  13 ppg; for 14 games 5 rpg; for 7 games 3 asst and 3 stls.

Her last 2 games were streamed so finally got to watch her actually play.  Even though a freshman, she has the best overall skill set of anyone on her team.  Johnston is 16-0 on the season and has a couple of really deadeye 3-point shooters but Jenica is the most talented.  (In their Monday afternoon game, the team hit 17-33  3-point attempts and had 28 assists).

If she put her mind to it, I think she could really take over a game because she has some very good ball handling skills but is content to put the ball into her teammates hands.  In last night's game, she finished with 23p; 9r; 3a playing 3 quarters.  Johnston won 74-29 only giving up 6 points in the second half.

Johnston is a suburb on the north side of Des Moines and has a high school enrollment of 1,752 the third largest school enrollment in Class 4A, Iowa's highest classification.  For comparison purposes, 1,752 would be near the middle of Class 4A Indiana schools.  It will be interesting to see how much of a push CTM puts into her recruitment over the next couple of years.
