Illinois doesn't know the first thing about defense or basketball at all. However, Patberg getting back on track with her shooting touch is much needed regardless of opponent and hopefully will be confidence booster she needs rest of year down stretch for the big games.

Post-game from Seth Tow --

I asked Teri Moren if the timeline for Mackenzie Holmes was still for her to miss the rest of the regular season, and she said "I wouldn't say that. I think you'll see her back sooner than later."  Moren said Holmes is on the court working with assistant coach Rhett Wierzba, not with the rest of the team yet, but she's doing more and more every day. Certainly sounds like Holmes could return before the end of the regular season.

Teri Moren also expressed optimism about Nicole Cardaño-Hillary's ankle tweak that caused her to leave tonight's game in the 3rd quarter. "I think she'll be fine. She was walking on it."

That's awesome. Especially since Browne and McNeil will be more ready than ever to take on critical roles as needed.

This sounded funny and old school. It's still attached, she's good.
