Desmond Bane

Huge Grizzlies fan here. I know we didn’t really recruit Desmond Bane out of high school but how the hell did Purdue, ND, or Butler also let him leave the state? The guy is awesome and one of the better pure shooters I’ve seen.

Played at a small 1a . Everybody missed I believe TCU was his only high major offer.

IIRC, he was the leading scorer on the Indiana all-stars, that season.

Brian Snow watched him play on numerous occasions and wasn’t high on him. Said it was one of the biggest misses of his career.

Also leading scorer in state I think but could be wrong. He definitely had his followers in high school. Kid was fun to watch. TCU got a steal.

Went Seton Catholic a small school in Richmond. I definitely thought he was D1 talent but never thought he’d be successful in the NBA. My son is friends with Desmond’s cousin. He drives around in a new suv and is always posting pics hanging at Desmond’s place. Pretty cool.
