This thread usually gets the posting adrenaline flowing. Forget about the B1G tourney. Let's see your picks for:

  • Conference record for each team --  20 games per team
  • Conference standings - to avoid mocking responses it'd be nice if y'all have the league's collective in-conference record as .500    :)
  • Which teams make the big dance
  • Conference Player of the year
  • Conference Freshman of the year

Have at it!

  1. Purdue 15-5, NCAA

  6. Indiana, 12-8, NCAA
  7. Maryland, 11-9, NCAA

  10. Iowa, 9-11

Conference player of the year: Jaden Ivey, Purdoooooo: the only thing left is the jump shot--betcha he's been working hard at that.

Conference Freshman of the year: Max Christie, MSU: team has pretty good talent, but needing a featured guy...and he's it.

B1G conference predictions:

1. The referees' calls are not going to get better;

2. Three universities will forfeit games because of Covid-19;

3. The ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12 alliance will not agree to assume responsibility from the NCAA regarding self regulation of college sports;

4. The Big Ten Network will not expand it's offering of live sports such as soccer or swimming or golf and BTN+ will still suck;

5. Indiana University Men's Basketball Team will find on it's roster: a great PG and not who you think; a great shooter and not who you think; a great glue guy...well, we know who this is;  and a great banger underneath that hits all the buttons...not;

6. Indiana University Men's Basketball Team gets into the NCAAT without being on the bubble;

7. Indiana does not lose to OSU at Assembly Hall on January 6;

8. Coach Woodsen gets a really decent pay raise in 2022;

9  Indiana beats purdue but not in basketball, sorry;

10. Coach Woodsen doesn't immediately find the shooters to play 4 out and 1 in...but it does happen this season;

11. Recruiting picks up and the trend gets better and better!

If TJD can develop more of his outside game, in part because of Durr spending some time as the 5...then Durr will be worth his salt...but not the (outside and 18' ) shooter that I was positing. Remember, Durr is from the AAC not the ACC. But hope his numbers there translate to the B1G.

Galloway already is a role glue guy.  Just think if he can hit a few shots!  Yeah, great!

I never thought of Duncomb as a great PG...trying to envision it...heh, yeah no.

I predict that each team will play 20 conference games instead of 18 this season. :)

IU will finish above 0.500 in conference

AAARRRHHHHH!!! It most certainly is 20, not 18 conference games.

Please adjust accordingly, y'all.

Can we mock those who don’t post a conference POY in replying to their own post?
