Outstanding… Easy to see where the heavy IU interest comes from.

Speaking of emotional stability and ol Troy Williams, I just watched AJ Guyton’s  40 minute interview of Troy.

Troy is as ‘interesting’ and disconnected as ever. It took all AJ had to hang in there and try to make him seem okay. For Tom Crean to have turned Troy Williams into a plus player was a freakin miracle.

Yup. After he committed I went down to see him at Marshall County and after 2 games was convinced he was a complete mess. Also pretty clear that his teammates on Oak Hill hated playing with him. Kudos to whatever the support system was that kept his head above water in Bloomington.

La Porte Invitational Jan. 6, 7 & 8.  All games will be televised on ESPNU.  Chance to watch a number of IU offers and a couple with possible IU interest:

Coen Carr - Legacy Early  College

Jalen Hood-Schifino, K.J. Evans and Derik Queen - Montverde

Anthony Gilkes '24 - IMG

Christian Humphrey-Rembert '24 - La Lumiere

Very difficult to get individual game stats for Carr but here's a clip of him scoring 14 pts. in the 3rd Q of a recent game.

Watched that game on Monday night. There’s an interesting dynamic at play here. The Carr games I watched from November the kid kid played with great energy on both ends the entire game. Was also super positive and encouraging with teammates. This game, the energy, particularly defensively wasn’t as good and he was noticeably frustrated with teammates a couple of times. Don’t mean it as criticism of Carr. It’s just interesting to watch a good player react to poorer teammates during a serial losing situation. And his guards are bad and unfortunately don’t seem to realize it.

Side note: #2 for York Academy made everything. May have had 10 3’s.

Reminder you can watch him today on espnu at 1

Something must have changed because his game is not on.  The game with Oak Hill is on right now.

Obviously a forgettable game for Carr and Legacy but you could see the athleticism he has.  '24 Christian Humphrey-Rembert for LaLu is a player that we have taken a look at.

Carr had a nice second half
