Not seeing the 'Gunn was a bad defender' argument.  He was okay, and for a freshman 'okay' has the potential to become good.  I get not 'counting on him' being a key contributor -- which is why we need to bring in a wing/guard.  But I also think discounting the possibility isn't something that should be done.  He's an option, nothing more, nothing less.  The bottom line is he stopped getting on the court because he couldn't hit shots.  But I'm not willing to just write him off at this point.

I agree with all of that except for the bottom line part. A relative of the coaching staff told me he and Geronimo weren’t going to play because they did not understand defensive principles/fundamentals. Not saying his horrid shooting didn’t play a part but it was his defense that kept him from getting more mins.

If he were in the portal everyone would be saying “HARD PASS”

Get over yourself. You get off on attacking other posters and bringing negativity at every opportunity with the claim that you are mr Glass half full, like it validates your attacks And negativity towards others

Think Missouri has already recruited over Tamar Bates.  Caleb Grill (Iowa State) committed to Mizzou today.  Started at Iowa State last year, averaged 9.5 ppg.  Bulk three point shooter, shot 37% from three last year.

Think Mizzou was less about role and more about location to be honest

USPS already mentioned Joe above.  Hulls is out scouting -- and I'm sure getting a commitment from -- Jack Squat.
