Class of '66 Old Fart Posted October 20, 2024 Author Posted October 20, 2024 #10 PUke defeated our volleyball squad in straight sets to win a half point in the Governor's Cup competition and after 2 events have a 1.0 - .5 lead. We'll have a chance to get back at them on Nov. 8, in Bloomington. The next scheduled competition event is Nov. 1, for the B1G men's an women's XC championship and then the one we're all waiting for is Nov. 30, in Bloomington. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted November 1, 2024 Author Posted November 1, 2024 B1G Cross Country Championship today and the IU women edged out the PUkettes by 4 points to take a full point in the Governor's Cup competition. IU women finished 13th; Mariah Wehrle was our top finisher placing 29th. The IU men make it a sweep as they finish in 6th place 28 points ahead of PUke's 7th place finish. Martin Segurola finished in 11th place and Skylar Stidham in 12th to pace the Hoosiers. Currently we lead the overall with 2.5 points to PUke's 1.0 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 2 Author Posted March 2 Not a good day for our indoor track and field squads. Hopefully IUWBB will get us a half point tomorrow. The Boilermakers finish 7th in the Men's Championships with 38.5 points and the Hoosiers finish 9th with 31 points. On the Women's side, Purdue finish tied for 12th with 19 points and Indiana finish 16th with 14 points. Cup standings are now at Indiana 7.5, Purdue 5. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote

Hoosier women tied for 16th. Men's golf tournament this coming weekend and we still have softball, baseball and men's and women's outdoor track competitions to finish out the year Points are awarded to the winning team in each of the schools' 20 shared sports. If the two teams do not meet during the regular season, the higher finisher at the Big Ten Championships is the point winner. In the case of ties, both teams get half a point.
