Only tradition we have anymore is being mediocre.

Good lord your posts are depressing. Hoping you don't go through the day verbalizing every negative take, because compared to IU sports, most everyone has significantly bigger challenges.

Enjoying your favorite team should not be something that constantly produces negative energy. If that's the effect, why follow that team?

You keep saying this and it continues to make no sense. I get that your world is crashing down because we’re average but good lord man. Reading your unoriginal recycled twitter takes is beyond tiresome. Congratulations on commandeering this board for the 3rd time on your 3rd different username. You’re a true pirate.

Argh.

I'm sorry you don't like the reality of the program. Some of us will just be more vocal of where it's at. Others will hide from it.

Not being vocal about doesn't mean people are hiding from it.

this. I never understand how people think just because some don't blast the program on message boards and social media it means they are "hiding from it" or "okay with what is happening on the court".

and no, message board warriors don't enable change.

So you do like the reality of the program? That would explain a lot, actually.

Tradition = at least two transmissions over three generations are required for a practice, belief or object to be seen as tradition.

Generation = all of the people born and living at about the same time, regarded collectively. It can also be described as, the average period, generally considered to be about 20–30 years,

Therefore our TRADITION at IU is SO MUCH MORE than just being Mediocre.....

I am 1 of the people the OP was referring to when saying this topic bothers some... to me it is pointless... uniforms have absolutely NO effect on the product on the floor, nor the recruiting trail. If you personally don't like them and want them to change that is fine, but to say get with the times, or to infer that it in some way would make IU basketball better on the court or more relevant nationally to fans or recruits is absurd.

I LOVE the uniforms (I do like Nike better than Addidas, but that is personal and not even specifically about the look of the uniforms), I LOVE LOVE the Candy Stripe Warm up pants.... It is Tradition... it is something we do that is unique and different from majority of the other 353 NCAA Division 1 programs...

I have been against names on iu jersey for as long as it has been brought up because I like to think of them as a team rather than individual players. We are so bad I don't care now as long as we start recruiting and winning but if we keep losing plus add names it will probably add to my dislike of everything we are doing lately lol
