I was listening to Dusty and Danny on Sirius this morning and they mentioned some country singer who is a Notre Dame fan and threw out the idea of having a concert with all the gate being donated to the ND NIL coffers. Evidently Bon Jovi piped in and said he was in as well.

D and D then went on to mention a few other performers who are big college football fans and whether this could become a thing.

So, other than Mellencamp, who else could support IU in a meaningful way?

Jesse Bonjiovi, Jon's son, was a walk on DB for Notre Dame, so there's the Bon Jovi connection.

I can't think of any other artists that have a connection to IU. Jacobs School of Music would have several composers or classical musicians but people wouldn't recognize them.

I've posted his link because it has an impact on NIL at all universities.  It should not be taken as any kind of political statement one way or the other and anyone who starts posting in that vein will have their posts hidden.

So, we're back to the wild, Wild West approach to NIL... gonna be another bumpy ride...

I'm not a lahhh-yer, so can't say for sure, but based on a layman's reading, it seems to make sense... (probably 100% wrong, then) /s

Title IX guidance for the new revenue sharing agreement has been rescinded.

Aren't NIL and the proposed revenue sharing thing two separate items/issues?
