IU Ladies we’re deep last year compromised by a couple injuries.  Have to stay healthy or you find out that you are not as deep as you thought.  This is true of almost if not all teams.

We were deep in the fact we had many girls who could score the basketball last year, along with many shooters.. but outside of that, I didn't ever see us as particularly deep.

Not enough rebounding, perimeter D, or ball handlers.

At the present time, we seem to be measurably deeper 1-11 than last season.

We will see against the major top competition.  Stay healthy.  (expect a ding or 2 but nothing major)

And for example (not sure about others) Iowa fans probably feel likewise 116-46

presume her mri didn’t reveal any knee damage

Not sure if she even had MRI.  She was supposed to and it was postponed and then it looked like things were good. (Maybe,  if she had MRI she did it when she got back since this was August 11 post). Anyway, Great!

Look closely and you'll see Sydney Parrish has her right arm in a sling.   :-(

Specifically, looking at the shooting wrist/hand and arm is laying in sling.

I don't think a broken hand is a worst-case scenario.. and a broken hand wouldn't have a sling, more than likely.

It does seem like her hand is wrapped.

Every picture of S. Parrish has her right wrist/hand and part of arm out of view.  Mentality toughness strategy I suppose.  I like it, actually.

I think she had her wrist taped a little in Greece… at least one of the games.

Or maybe I am just seeing things

Noting that there still seems to be 2 or 3 schools that don’t have to be on many lists for recruiting. They get their top picks early.
The rest compete in lists of 5, 6, 7, 8,  etc etc etc after making player cuts.

Per Athletic IU Ladies at # 9.  Big Ten 3 teams in top 10 including 2 ahead of IU Ladies plus 5 in top 25.
Many teams are so close and yet different in strengths and weaknesses.  How will the stars align 2023-2024?
