Are we in Dayton if we lose to Oregon?

Depends on how many bid stealers there are during champ week.   As of now IU isn’t in Dayton for me however if you get 4 or 5 bid stealers they could be pushed down into Dayton or all the way out.   IU doesn’t need to fall down into Dayton.  They wouldn’t do that to my wife 2 times in 4 years.  I really don’t want to watch them when we are over in Dayton

I also don't want to see us have to go from Dayton to the west coast and have missed luggage.

I think we are safe win or lose, as long as we don't get stomped by the Ducks! If we win we are an 11 seed, lose and probably a 12.

My guess is they are a 11 right now and if they beat Oregon who is top 4 in Q1 wins nationally they will be a 10 seed or maybe 9 depending on what others do around them.

I like that, but what if they lose to Oregon, do you agree they are still in?

B1G tourney bubble game of the day will be tomorrow.  Iowa/Nebraska.   If Iowa loses they are out however if they win then there could be a 5 way tie at 7-13.  I have  no idea who would get the nod through tiebreakers but I’m here for the chaos

Which of the following do you think are still in even if they lose their conference tournament?

MVC:  Drake

A 10:  VCU

MWC:  New Mexico, Utah State, Boise State, San Diego State

----------

The biggest potential bid stealers IMO come from those conferences + The American conference if Memphis doesn't win the conference tournament.

Isn't there also one less auto bid this year due to the Pac 12 going away?

Definitely but they still could fall to the first 4 or even out depending on how many bid stealers there end up being.  Last year there were 5 which was a very big number.  Usually you see 1 or 2.   I feel confident they will be in however I’ve said since January 5th they would be in with a 10-10 record after looking at what they had left and what the math would add up to.  Being in the B1G or SEC has its advantages a team just has to take advantage of them.   Beating Sparty on the road and Purdue at home was huge.   No other bubble team can say they have those wins and 0 Q2-Q4 losses with a top 30 SOS

What smaller conferences are we worried about bid stealers in other than in the MVC if Drake doesn’t win tomorrow?

Hopefully for our sake, no one puts together a run in a large conference tournament like NC State did last year.

Minnesota plays Rutgers and assuming that USC loses to UCLA tonight, there is going to be a five way tie at 7-13.  Regardless of whether MInnesota or Rutgers wins, the odd team out -- missing the Big Ten Tournament -- would be Nebraska.  So if USC loses tonight, the winner of the Nebraska/Iowa game is in the BTT, the loser is out.

Yeah one less auto but 1 more at-large.   There should be 37 at-large teams now until the PAC 12 gets going again.    Drake should be in regardless because they don’t have a Q4 loss and are 5-0 against the top 2 Quads.  Last year ISU got left out because of the 5 bid stealers and they lost a Q4 home game during the regular season.  VCU could get left out if they don’t win their tourney. Boise St is probably out unless they win some games in the MVC tourney

I would think A 10, American, and MWC.  MWC has quite a few bubble teams right now and it's hard to say who's in and who's out.

Thanks.  I do think that Boise State is going to have trouble winning games in the MVC tourney.  ;)
